Reactions, Emoji, and iPhone Tapbacks
Reactions let your team respond with a quick emoji instead of a full message — and they work across channels, including with customers texting from their phones.
Reacting to a message
In any conversation thread, click the smiley under a message to open the emoji picker, then choose an emoji. Your reaction appears as a small chip under the message; click the same emoji again to remove it. Reactions from your teammates stack up on the same chips.
What your customer sees
- Text and WhatsApp — phones don't deliver "reactions" from businesses, so your customer receives the emoji as a short text message. Simple and universally understood.
- Website chat — clients in the Client Portal see reactions appear instantly on the chat — and they can react to your messages too.
iPhone tapbacks from customers
When a customer "Loves" or "Likes" one of your texts from an iPhone, their phone sends a message like Loved "Thanks, see you at 3". Xagle recognizes these automatically and shows them the natural way: as a reaction chip on your original message, with a small note line in the thread — no confusing quoted texts cluttering the conversation.
