Away Alerts by Text or Email

Away alerts cover you when you're not in Xagle and don't have push notifications on a device: Xagle sends you a text message or an email when new messages arrive, so nothing sits unnoticed.

Choosing your alert method

Open your profile (your avatar in the sidebar), select the Notifications tab, and pick an alert method for each message type:

  • Conversation messages — texts, WhatsApp, and website chat from clients.
  • Support tickets — replies on tickets you're assigned to or watching.
  • Inbound email — client and vendor replies that land in Conversations. For administrators this also covers General Mail — messages from senders not yet in your records.

For each one choose None, Text message, or Email. The text option appears once your user profile has a mobile number.

How the alerts arrive

The first new message alerts you right away. If more messages arrive shortly after, Xagle bundles them and sends one summary instead of a stream of alerts — you'll see a count of what's waiting and can open Conversations to catch up. The quiet period between alerts is about 15 minutes.

Away alerts work independently of push notifications — use either, or both. If your phone is subscribed to push, you may prefer to leave away alerts off to avoid double alerts.
