Push Notifications

Push notifications put new messages on your phone or desktop the moment they arrive — even when Xagle isn't open. Subscribe each device you want alerted, then choose which kinds of messages reach it.

Subscribing a device
  1. Open your profile (your avatar in the sidebar) and select the Notifications tab.
  2. Click Subscribe This Device and allow notifications when your browser asks.
  3. Use Send Test Notification to confirm it works — you should see it within a few seconds.

The button changes to This Device Is Subscribed once the device is registered. Every subscribed device is listed on the same tab, and you can remove any of them at any time.

Choosing what you're notified about

Three switches control what each notification covers, and they apply to all of your devices:

  • Conversation messages — new texts, WhatsApp messages, and website chats from clients.
  • Support tickets — new replies on tickets you're assigned to or watching.
  • Inbound email — client and vendor email replies that land in Conversations. For administrators this also covers General Mail — messages from senders not yet in your records.

Tapping a notification takes you straight to the conversation.

iPhone setup

iPhones only allow notifications from installed web apps, so there is one extra step:

  1. Open your Xagle site in Safari.
  2. Tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Xagle installs under your company's name.
  3. Open Xagle from the home screen icon, go to your profile's Notifications tab, and subscribe there.

Requires iOS 16.4 or newer. If you installed the app a while ago and the icon still shows a generic name, remove it and add it to your home screen again to pick up your company's branding.

Android and desktop

No install needed — subscribe from any browser and allow the permission prompt. On Android you can also install Xagle to your home screen from the browser menu for a full-screen app experience.
