Creating a Subscription

Click Subscriptions in the left menu, then use New (or the plus next to the menu) to open Create Subscription.

The first screen is a modal. You choose the client, payment terms, start date, how often the subscription runs, and an optional stop date.

You also pick the company profile and how document numbers should be assigned to invoices this subscription creates.

For a new client, type the full name. For an existing client, start typing and pick from the list. You can adjust more client details later if needed.

Set payment terms when they apply.

The company profile supplies your business name, address, and related details on generated invoices.

In the modal header, the clone icon fills the form using your previous subscription details (tooltip: Get previous subscription details).

The document number scheme controls how invoice numbers look when this subscription creates invoices.

Set the start date to when the first invoice should generate.

Set how often invoices generate (for example every 1 month).

Press Submit to open the full subscription edit screen.

On the edit screen you add line items and fine-tune the subscription.

The edit screen works like an invoice: summary, From/To, items, tabs for extra text, and options.

1. Summary

A short summary makes the subscription easier to find in lists and search.

2. From / To

From shows which company profile you bill from. To shows the client. Use Change on either side if you picked the wrong profile or client.

If you ship goods, fill in ship-to when your process uses it.

3. Items

Add line items and use Add Item for more lines, similar to invoices.

4. Additional

Extra text such as terms or footer wording can live on the Additional tab. Defaults may come from System Settings for new subscriptions.

5. Options

Other toggles (online payment, discounts, and similar) appear here when your administrator enables them.

  • Exact options depend on your company configuration.

Save your work before leaving if you made changes.

If you do not see Subscriptions, your role may not include recurring invoices.
